CWPC released a new report, Land Use Planning Approaches in the Wildland-Urban Interface—an analysis of four western states: California, Colorado, Montana, and Washington. This report provides a synthesis of how each state’s land use planning framework addresses the WUI and recommends five solutions to advance land use planning as a strategy for reducing wildfire risk to communities.
